On Monday 28th October we went to school to shoot
the main interior section of our music video. We choose to shoot at our school
as our main character is a teacher but the decision to make him a teacher was
strongly influenced by the fact that we knew our school would be easy to
access. It was easy to plan filming dates as we have direct access to caretakers
and teachers. We also shot the exterior day shots that we need for our film.
In the interior pictures above we see our camera man (Josh
Barrett) setting up and taking shots from various different angles on a tripod
around our protagonist. For this scene our key light was daylight can light
that we borrowed from our photography department. Our fill light was also the
same type of light but we bounced this one off of a white wall to defuse it a
little bit to gently light the back off our protagonist. For the external shots we didn't use any artificial lights, all lighting was natural lighting from the sun.
