During this project we know we will have to make an album artwork as part of it so we all had a little mess around with Photoshop to learn some of the tools needed just to get to grips with it. We got the images from tumblr which were royalty free (allowing us to copy the image) Then we got the artist name from going onto Wikipedia and clicking 'Random page' 3 times and this was our decided artist name. Lastly we got our album title from a random quotes page on the internet.

I have used Photoshop many times before to create album artwork for people i know so i already have a pretty good understanding of how it works. I am not usually a fan of the simple but effective approach when creating artwork for music but above you can see that i have used this simple approach . From this practise session i picked up that you don't always need to create something dramatic and "out there" to make it look appealing to an audience.
Metehan Hizli's Cover.
I have used photoshop but at a basic level before and never experimented with using effects on pictures, On this picture I used a HDR filter to give the outlines a white glowing effect to them but the building itself having a dark finish to it. I also experimented by using the arc tool on photoshop and binding it with the text 'Glen Affrick' to make it curved instead of a plain straight line.
Josh Shea's Cover.
I have used Photoshop before so I knew many techniques to enhance a photograph but never used it to create an album cover so this was all new to me. I got a simple picture and added text over the top. I choose to use blue text to keep with the continuity of the image. I feel this practice showed me that you can create an effective album cover even if the image is just a pair of shoes.
