INITIAL IDEAS FEEDBACK

The feedback on our initial ideas varied from positive comments about the depth of our ideas to worries about how we might portray it to the audience.

Positive:
- Deep idea with a lot of thought put in.
- Lots of potential behind the narrative.
- Worked to our strengths.

Negative:
- Could be hard to portray the narrative.

The first thing that we were told by our teacher is that our initial ideas presentation was very deep and thorough. We thought from the beginning that if we had an initial idea that was strong we would ultimately be more successful as it could be a good thing to develop as it is already pretty thought out from the beginning. We are glad that our teacher noted this.

To come up with the idea for our video we had to sit down as a group and just listen to the song with the lyrics in front of us to try and work out what the song is trying to say and if there are any significant lines that we could build our idea off of. Our teacher has told us that after looking at our initial idea that we have got quite a deep and thought provoking concept that has a large amount of potential.

Another thing that our teacher pointed out was that we have worked to our strengths in the building of the idea. We have come up with an idea that could be very dependent on good camera work and editing and we were told that due to our AS video that we should have no problem pulling this off and this is the type of comment we love to hear. We have also come up with a narrative that could potentially have a very hard lead role to act but also, due to our AS video, our teacher has the utmost confidence in us to cast it well.

One thing that we have been told that there is doubts about is weather we will actually be able to portray the idea that we have for the narrative because it is soo deep. Our teacher told us that it will take extra thought and planning to make our narrative live up to its potential. It is going to be hard to put what we have down on paper on to the screen.

Overall all we think the feedback is going to help us in the long run as it is always good to hear what other people think about your ideas. Sometimes things that people come up with may be thought of as genius by the creator but others might think its useless. We will take all of this in to mind and we will build on the things that we have been told are good and we will amend the things that need fixing or solidifying.
